Town of Arties<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The old town of Arties maintains the traditional characteristics of stone buildings and slate roofs. The church of Santa Mar\u00eda de Arties, from the 12th century, stands out at the top. It is a good example of the overlapping of different styles: from its oldest Romanesque nave and the splendid five-story Gothic tower with a large clock, to the Baroque altarpieces from the 17th and 18th centuries that can be seen inside. .<\/p>\n

Next to it, another church stands out, that of San Juan, which is a harmonious ensemble in the purest Gothic style. The town center has the most notable Renaissance houses in the Val d’Aran.<\/p>\n
